Alice June Tinney, beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:20 a.m. at the age of 77.
Alice was born on December 14, 1948, in Dumas, Texas, to Lazelle Spicer and Clois Tinney. She lived a life marked by resilience, kindness, and a deep love for her family.
Throughout her life, Alice faced the challenges of a lifelong battle with Lupus, as well as congestive heart failure and renal failure, but she continued to bring joy and warmth to those around her. Alice spent most of her life residing near her family in Noble, Oklahoma, where she built a fulfilling career caring for others.
She worked in childcare and as a beautician for many years, leaving a lasting impact on the many lives she touched through her compassion, creativity, and caring nature.
In June 2019, Alice relocated to Sweeny, Texas, to be closer to her nephew and niece-in-law. On October 2, 2024, she moved to a long-term care facility in Missouri City, Texas, where she spent her remaining years making new friendships and enjoying the simple pleasures in life. She loved participating in bingo tournaments, going on shopping trips and food outings, and spending time with fellow residents and caregivers who became part of her extended community.
Alice will be lovingly remembered by her surviving family members, including one sister, two brothers, three nieces, six nephews, thirteen great nieces, three great nephews, four great-great nieces, two great-great nephews, and a great-great-great nephew on the way.
She was preceded in death by her sister, brother, mother, and father, whom she is now joyfully reunited with in Heaven.
Alice’s memory will continue to live on through the family she loved and the many people whose lives she touched. Her gentle spirit, perseverance, and love will be cherished and remembered always.
