The story of
At 12:50pm on April 19, 2026, Alec Byrnes, 44, made his way to Graceland. Alec is survived by his wife, Lizzie; children Christian, Genevive and Iceshya; mom Judy and sister Christine. Alec was preceded in death by his dad, Dennis. Alec embodied a life of creativity through music, writing, humor, and acting. He was an avid animal lover...especially dogs, with a passion around supporting dog rescue and adoption. Alec was happiest when he was entertaining others and making them laugh. He was a talented impressionist with a quick witted, and usually inappropriate sense of humor. While he played many instruments, his forte was piano. He had an innate ability to hear a piece of music and duplicate it...but the real magic was watching him play...he could feel the keys a half step before actually playing them. He composed an immense number of original pieces spanning many genres...including Hephop, his own creation. He was an insanely talented Tetris player, playfully boasting about setting the world record on Tetris with Friends. He loved most sports, but especially baseball, basketball and tennis. He was generous beyond his means, always looking out for his family and friends. His heart was sensitive and open in the most beautiful, vulnerable ways. He was oxygen. He was adrenaline. He made you want to be a part of his atmosphere...and when you were, you knew you were safe. It was Alec's wish to be cremated and to have his family scatter his ashes along their journeys and adventures so that he could be there with them always. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Alec's name to your local dog shelter. “With tinfoil dreams and plastic wrapped hopes...Follow Your Bliss.” - Alec Byrnes
