Susan Hansey Chatwood Rizor was born on August 24, 1947, in Eugene, Oregon, and passed away October 23, 2025 surrounded by love and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thor and Bettie Hansey, her sister, Sharon Wood, and her beloved granddaughter, Kinsey Chatwood.
Susan is survived by her four children: Tammy Johnson and her husband Bob, Todd Chatwood and his wife LeeAnn, Tracie Chatwood, and Terri Rodriguez and her partner Steve Smith. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless pride and joy.
A graduate of Junction City High School’s Class of 1964, Susan lived a life full of curiosity, creativity, and connection. She spent time raising miniature horses, enjoyed tole painting, and found joy in collecting treasures of all kinds. Above all, Susan cherished time spent with her family and friends.
She shared countless adventures, trips, and celebrations with her dear “Lunch Bunch” group — friendships that remained a constant source of laughter and support throughout her life. In her later years, Susan made her home with her daughters Tracie and Terri, where she was surrounded by love, laughter, and the comfort of family.
Susan will be remembered for her big heart, her wit, her love of family, and the way she made everyone around her feel cared for. Her legacy of warmth, humor, and family devotion will live on through all who knew and loved her.
