The story of
Donald E. Pedigo, 76, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024, where he felt at home in Gold Canyon, Arizona. He was born to Lloyd and Margaret “Peggy” Pedigo in 1948 in Tehachapi, California. Don led a very serving, happy, and active life filled with family and friends. He respectfully served this country from 1965 to 1972, flying F-4 Phantom fighter jets through two tours in Vietnam. He also enjoyed many activities, such as racing boats and airplanes when he was younger, skiing, golfing, traveling with his family, and dedication to the Lord. His greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his son, Ryan Pedigo, daughter-in-law, Daisy Pedigo, “the daughter whom he never had,” and his two grandchildren, Rylee and Dallas. In 1987, Don married his skiing partner, Linda Verwey, whom he adored. They were lucky to have celebrated over 35 years together and raised their one son, Ryan. They separated in 2019 but continued as best friends, life mates, and companions until his passing. Don was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd, who meant so much to him, and his mother, Peggy. Don is survived by his son; two grandchildren, Rylee Grace, and Dallas Ryan; his daughter-in-law, Daisy Pedigo; his long-time spouse, Linda Pedigo; his “adopted” family of Jose and Lety Orozco, D.J. and Jennifer Whitlatch, his pilot counterpart, Cesar Orozco, David and Betsy Lim, and Roger and Catherine Orozco; and his sister, Margaret “Margie” Wrye; his loving extended family, John and Ann Verwey, Philip Verwey, Kara DeGroot, Johnny Verwey, Amy Lehman, and Allison Hines.
