The story of
Arlene Catherine Moore, 86, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born to Irv and Ora (Meacham) Perry in Toledo, Ohio on May 5, 1937. Arlene was raised in North Toledo with her brother, Kenneth J. Perry who passed away in 2022. Growing up she led a very happy and active life filled with many activities such as theater and singing. She is survived by her three children: Patrick Moore of Phoenix, Arizona; Erin Martinez of West Covina, California; and Shannon Davis of Hamilton, Ohio; as well as her grandson, Joey Monroe of Phoenix, Arizona. Arlene attended St. Francis de Sales Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School. She went on to study Opera at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She was happily married to Gerald Moore for 52 years until his passing in 2016. Together they were members of the Swiss Singers as well as several other singing groups. Arlene was also a Boy Scout Den Mother, Troop Leader, and eventually became District Commissioner of the Commodore Perry District, Toledo Area Council BSA. She enjoyed hiking, traveling, reading and gardening among many other things. In 2016 Arlene placed her trust in Jesus Christ and became a born again Christian, getting baptized by full immersion at the age of 79. The family would like to thank the amazing staff of caregivers at Phoenix Mountain Post Acute nursing home where she resided for the last 5 years, as well as Savior Hospice for coming alongside and providing additional care for her during her final days. Family and friends are invited to attend a virtual memorial service to be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 11, 2024 via Google Meet video. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to King James Video Ministries (kjvm.org) in her honor.
